EVOLVE OR REPEAT!

“I am a former psychologist and had a psychology practice for over 10 years. I was so impressed with the personal development program for kids facilitated by Ashley Anjlien Kumar that my son was registered in. This program teaches things that my husband and I learned in our ADULT personal development coaching courses; but my son got to experience that on his level in a way kids can understand.

What Ashley teaches, a lot of adults don’t even know,

so I love that it’s a course that supports parents to become better too! I see my kids as conscious leaders for their generation and it brings me to tears

that there are beautiful humans who help make these dreams possible for me, my kids and future generations. EVOLVE OR REPEAT. Your choice.”

-Rosalyn Fung, Mother of an 8 year old group coaching participant.

When I was a child, I deeply struggled with low self-esteem and self-worth. I faced racism and bullying as well. I am a survivor who can attest to the struggles of going through the trials and tribulations of childhood without the knowledge, tools, or resources to help me when I deeply needed them. What's more important to know is that the information I share with kids today, I didn't even know until I learned it all in my thirties after I had my own kids. The real deal is that we can't give our kids what we don't have. And I didn't have the information, tools and resources. But then... I got them. I learned. I did the work.

As a Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence Coach for kids and Master Certified Parenting Coach, I help families create cohesive, connected and expressive teams where the primary focus is to help kids gain sensational self-confidence and soaring self-esteem, while helping parents overcome hurdles that prevent them from achieving the supportive and peaceful family system they desire.

For kids, I use a 6 step system rooted in story-telling and multi-sensory learning to go from disempowered, disengaged and unmotivated to self-empowered, self-connected and self-motivated.

With parents, I have a unique 13-step approach that allows us to unearth subconscious parenting patterns that play a role in the family’s challenges and shift them so that parents can grow into conscious, confident, and empowered family leaders with the help of support, tools and strategies.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Don't schools cover this information?

Most of the information I share are not covered by schools. My program focuses on education, mindset development and the integration of specific vocabulary to empower kids. It's important to note that schools are doing their best while also dedicating a majority of resources to academic growth of children. I don't believe we need to put "everything" on a school or teacher's shoulders. I believe they are doing their best. Yet, bullying statistics show that kids are still falling through the gaps that are present in bullying information and empowerment. Hence, my goal is to be part of the minority that are working to fill the gap.

What material / curricula do you use?

I find using only one licensed program that I might have access to as a coach still has gaps, therefore I have created a program that combines the power of three different types of curricula. Because of licensing restrictions, I am not in a position to share curricula with parents or participants but can guide them to resources.

If you care so much about kids, why not do it for free?

I have been "cyber-bullied" before for not offering my program for free. (It's ironic that I have been bullied about a program that empowers kids against bullying... ). I would like to point out the challenges in offering free programming for a facilitator like myself. I do pay for my training and licensing, I do pay for the material I share with the kids in my programs, insurance and business fees, and I do pay for all the services that I use to deliver my programs to families. My job as a Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence Coach for kids is my passion and my creative power AND, it's my primary work that contributes to my family and household. Just as we pay taxes in order to access public education, or pay a plumber to fix essential plumbing issues in our homes, or pay for food to meet our most basic needs (if self-esteem programs "should be free" then food definitely should be - it's our basic need to stay alive!!!), I also believe in fair compensation for those who provide services to all of us. I happen to be one of those service providers. I believe it takes a village to raise kids, but the village looks different than it did hundreds of years ago; today it involves team members that come from different organizations; e.g. we pay a tutor to support academic growth, a dance coach or swim coach for extracurriculars, and a life-skills coach like me.... It's totally okay if your philosophy around this is different from mine - I accept that.

Isn't it my job as a parent to teach my kids how to handle bullies and learn life skills?

The truth is that most of us didn't learn the information I share with kids today - because we weren't taught! And our parents didn't know it either. In fact, I only learned this stuff when I was in my thirties after I had kids. We can't give our kids what we don't have. In other words, how do we know how to help them if we don't know the skills, strategies or tools that work? And we could do it all ourselves, but gosh, as a busy mom myself, I'd rather work with a professional who can support my child in their area of expertise. I love getting support!

Do you offer subsidy, insurance receipts or other financial help?

Subsidies are not available as far as I know (government grants) for kids coaching. If you know something I don't in this regard, I would be happy to learn about options. Discounts are available for families in severe financial need. This is a coaching program and not a psychological program and therefore most insurance programs will not cover the investment of this program. If you have questions or concerns, please direct them to ashley@ashleyanjlienkumar.net

Can you offer this at my child's school?

Yes, if your school has the resources to bring me aboard, it would be a pleasure to facilitate at your child's school. I have worked with Alternative Education schools and presented my empowerment topics for school boards and their staff. You may put me in touch with your child's school and we can go from there. My programs can be shared remotely or in person depending on the circumstances.

**PLEASE NOTE: This program is not suited to kids who have experienced severe trauma or violence; we strongly believe physical assault is violence; in such cases please refer to your local Psychological services.
